CodeHouse Prep

CodeHouse Prep is a flexible, school-year program that partners with local middle and high schools and community organizations.

Tech Workshops

1-2 hour, hands-on sessions

Standalone workshops on foundational topics. Scholars will be trained to lead these sessions using pre-packaged curriculum kits. Example topics include:

  • Intro to Web Development (HTML/CSS)

  • Build Your First Game with Scratch

  • What is Artificial Intelligence?

  • Design Thinking for Problem Solving

Scholar Talks

30-45 minute presentations

CodeHouse Scholars visit schools to share their personal stories and journeys into technology. These talks are designed to be inspirational and provide a relatable face to the tech industry for assemblies, career days, or individual classes.

The Mission is Twofold

Primary Audience (Learners): Middle and high school students, with a focus on establishing partnerships with Title 1 schools and community centers in areas that CodeHouse serves.

Secondary Audience (Mentors): Current CodeHouse Scholars from all programs. A formal application or sign-up is required, followed by mandatory training.
